Ian Harrington - Studio Manager

Ian Harrington, 22, has been recording for five years. As owner and manager of BoxSpring Studios, he oversees all projects. He is also the chief engineer and in-house producer.

Ian was born in New Jersey, but raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a talented musician and songwriter himself, Ian has a highly developed sense of song structure and instrumental compilation. Currently, he plays guitar, drums, and performs vocals for a few local bands.

Ian is also a successful student and public speaker. He works as a junior credit analyst for an equipment finance company.

Todd McNeil - Recording Engineer

Todd McNeil, 23 year old Bay Area native, is a freelance audio engineer and multimedia producer who has dabbled in audiovisual production for the past decade becoming a confident cinematographer and film editor before transitioning into the world of audio.  Though his videography skills are self-taught, he got his Associates degree in recording arts and and is also Pro Tools certified.

Todd's Musical background includes 15 years of instrumentation-drums, piano, guitar, vocals, turntables, drum machines, keyboards, synthesizers, noise makers and last but certainly not least-the mixing board (it really is an instrument).

You can currently find Todd in the Pro Audio department at Guitar Center Concord or hidden away working on new tracks for his experimental hip hop group Artificia (www.myspace.com/artificia).

Marcel Quiroz - Mastering Engineer

Marcel Quiroz, 27 year old Expression graduate handles our outboard mastering services.  Marcel grew up in the south bay, developing an eclectic personality and style, unable to lock down on one genre.  Marcel has been part of the music industry for over a decade working with groups such as the Hieroglyphics as a personal mix engineer.  Currently the frontman for the reggae band “Lifted Roots”, he also tours the world as a Polynesian drummer.  No matter the style, Marcel can make it shine right.

Frank Harrington - Studio Technician

Frank Harrington, 26, serves as studio technician and assistant engineer at BoxSpring. Frank got his first taste of recording at Diablo Valley College, where he took music recording courses. Since then, Frank has worked alongside his brother, Ian, on many recording projects.

During his free time, Frank is an amateur
photographer. Like his photographs, Frank brings creative input to BoxSpring Studios. He was recently married and currently lives in Vallejo, California.

Tina Zito - Assistant Producer

Tina Zito, 21, works as bookings manager and assistant producer for BoxSpring Studios. Although Tina has been in the recording industry for just two years, she has a long musical background and is an amazing pianist. Tina is a good friend to BoxSpring Studios and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She has a great ear for song structure and chord progression and
has taken many music theory courses.

Tina was born in Taiwan but grew up in Chico, California. She is also working towards a bachelor’s degree in cinematography from Boston University.
