THE STUDIO

Formerly a bedroom, BoxSpring Studios is home studio located in Pleasant Hill, CA. The studio is a hybrid tracking/control room like many project studios today. Offering a 260 square feet space with an 8ft high ceiling, there is plenty of room to fit full bands into this space along with a few six-packs. The room has been professionally treated with GIK acoustic panels and diffusers taming the room to have a flat frequency response while maintaining its musical energy. Our mixing desk and listening positions are placed perfectly to present your music in a neutral environment during playback, while our tracking space gives you enough space to comfortably play.  The environment is comfortable and warm; you will feel right at home the instant you step in, because, well, it is a home.

THE EQUIPMENT

To achieve professional sound quality, BoxSpring Studios uses a blend of high quality software to accompany our top notch hardware. SONAR 8 Producer and Pro Tools 8 LE give us everything and more for tracking, composing, editing, and  mixing, which is complimented well by our Waves signal processing tools. And to top it off, BoxSpring’s visual mastering equalizer, Har-Bal, spearheads our in-house mastering process.

In addition to our software, our hardware is chosen specifically to complement your recording projects. We have a large Mic cabinet, Class-A Microphone preamps, high quality D/A A/D converters, an assortment of studio monitors, and a diverse selection of effects processors.
